Our first two practice rounds were run fairly ease so we may learn the track. Saturday also has one round of qualifying and the
Blue Thunder boat marked a 59.85 time to put us in the middle of the 41 boats. Sunday has three qualifying rounds first then cuts the field to the top 16 boats. Our first round of the day started good moving thru the track with a split time of 20.25 but ended with us spinning out and running aground that leaves us with no time. Second qualifier had our split time at 22.85 but trying to change our line later on the track proved to be wrong. We had another big spinout that left us booth wet from the wall of water rushing over the bow and not marking a time again. Third and last round we needed to mark a time to make the top 16 boat cut off. Our split time was a 20.65 and finished with a 60.16 time that put us on the trailer for the day. We finished 25 over all for the first round of WSJ.
